For us as kids we had the same beautiful advent calendar that we pulled out every year and mum filled with soo many exciting things.
They were things like choccies, a small toy, a Christmas decoration, and our absolute favourite, a handwritten family activity that we would all do together. Ie a movie under the stars, decorate a gingerbread house, write our letters to Santa, bake cookies etc. It was everything to us and something we remember to this day.
